Finally a product to truly replace the HKS VPC for aftermarket upgraded Supra's! Since the demise of the VPC from HKS, there has been a huge void to fill to meet the demands from Supra owners looking to a simpler approach to adding big injectors and turbo(s). Many simply do not want to change the factory ECU and move to a standalone. This is a solid solution for those from a world leader in electronics for imports, GReddy.

Greddy Performance Products introduces their newest piggyback engine management system, the e-Manage Ultimate! The Greddy e-Manage Ultimate does what no other piggyback ECU can. Engineered to preserve the best features of the original e-Manage (economical price, no need for tuning from scratch, & compatible for most Japanese performance vehicles).

Some of the new features include:

The ability to both Add and Subtract on fuel and ignition maps A toggle switch to shift between two sets of tuning maps (i.e. Street program or Race program) Air/Fuel Target Map for self-tuning to speeding up initial tuning time Increased number of input and output ports and numberous built in adapters Various Correction Maps (for Acceleration, Speed, Temperature, Ignition, & A/T Trans) Fouled Spark-Plug Cleaning Feature Auxiliary Output Maps A new extensive multi-channel datalogging system with map tracing for easy tuning Includes the software Support Tool CD Use of a speedy standard USB cable for tuning, monitoring, and datalogging Ideal for optimizing and fine-tuning for performance products like exhaust, air intake, intercoolers, boost controllers and turbo upgrades

    Optional parts

GReddy Complete Harness SetpadThis is the complete harness set for the e-Manage Ultimate for new users. If you do NOT already have a Greddy e-Manage then you need this harness to work with your e-Manage Ultimate. It includes the 18-pin, 12-pin, and 14-pin connector harness.

GReddy Supplemental HarnesspadIf you have a current e-Manage and want to upgrade to the e-Manage Ultimate then this is the supplement harness that you will need to purchase. This if for existing e-Manage users and includes the 14-pin connector harness.

umm, people ... you live in australia, the home of motec, autronic and haltech. this is not the usa where you have to import (or copy) a decent engine management system, you have the best already available on your doorstep! dont use cheaply made, gimmicky japanese systems and ignore the far superior australian product!

For anyone who doesnt have the need for a stand alone or is on a budget is more where I'm trying to come from. I'm soon to have a fmic and boost controller...and contemplating a S-AFCII...and I feel these mods dont necessitate nor warrant removing my factory ECU and forking out a lot more cash in the process.

This E-Manage is roughly $600 and a new S-AFCII it $300ish. I guess I'm contemplating which would be a better option...and not being clued on to all these new flash wiz bang gadgets...I thought perhaps the more educated people around the forums could enlighten those like myself.

Im just trying to establish whether its a piece of shit or a comparible choice to the likes of the S-AFCII. Thanks

sometimes its better to leave it to the japanese, after all they are the ones who brought you the car...and almost every other advanced technology in this world...

on a more serious note, a good ecu is one thing, a competent tuner is the main obstacle.

    go figure

If you can afford a supra, you can afford a decent ecu.

i would have to say i agree with Rusty dont go to "piggy back" or "intercept" style ECU's cause still the limitation comes down to what the stock ECU has been programmed with, its architecture and chipset. As the stock ECU was made to do one thing control the stock engine with set variables and maps. Now i know that the SAFC II and Emanage are cheap/affordable and will do their most to modulate or change the stock computer or fool it into running certain maps and modes, it is still not going to be as good as a fully programmable ECU in my opinion. Sure the aftermarket "piggyback" computers will give you what you paid for, but if you are going to be spending money on mods wouldnt you like to get out of them what you can, not what you can afford ? I know being on a budget sucks arse but dont get a half cast solution that down the road you may not be happy with because they limit you expanding to bigger things.
All comes down the $$ you want to part with and the size of your smile once you have parted with it.
inability to plan ahead on your behalf doesnt equate to an emergency on mine...

You know thats not how it works??

SAFC DOES NOT work the same way as e-Manage ultimate... incase you didn't know.

SAFC DOES fool the ecu, it simply alters the input on the single AFM wire. I don't like that either. Although seems quite effective for a lot of people.

e-Manage Ultimate actually has wires going TO the injectors and ignitors. That means it is having direct OUTPUT to them, its not fooling the ECU, it is the one with control.

It has all the control you need. Ignition and Fuel. I am very interested to start seeing some results.

Its NOT a stand alone, which means you do need your stock ECU, but most people do have the stock ECU.

If you go with the argument that Motec is the best, I could say to you, that anyone who has an aftermarket exhaust, that isn't titanium, is a wanker for not spending the money on a better product....

...sometimes, its not the most expensive solution which is the smartest.
